괴산 고수동굴

Gosudonggul Cave in Goesan, Chungcheongbuk-do, is one of the most accessible and architecturally significant limestone caves in Korea — a 1,700-metre accessible circuit through chambers containing a high density of stalactites, stalagmites, and cave coral formations developed over approximately 450 million years. The cave holds the largest stalagmite in Korea at 8 metres height and one of the few known cave coral formations in the country. The Goesan area is also known for the Goesan Spring Festival (barley and strawberry) and the surrounding Dalcheon River valley provides the typical Chungcheongbuk-do limestone landscape context.
