Samcheok Hwanseon Cave Largest Limestone Cave Korea

📍 Samcheok, Gangwon-do

The largest limestone cave open to the public in South Korea, with chambers large enough to hold multi-story buildings. The cave temperature remains 12 degrees year-round, making it a popular summer refuge. The stalactite formations in the inner chambers are hundreds of thousands of years old. A nearby beach of white sand with a river delta is one of the least-known coastal gems in Korea.
