Gwanggyo Reservoir Trail
📍 Haengbok-dong, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do (above Gwanggyo Lake Park, trailhead off Gwanggyo-ro)
The original 1944 reservoir above the new lake park, preserved as a quiet forest walk untouched by the Gwanggyo New Town development below. Older residents and serious hikers use this trail to access the upper Gwanggyo Provincial Forest, where the crowds thin out almost immediately. The contrast between the manicured lakeside boulevards below and the pine-shaded path above is striking — two completely different Gwanggyo experiences separated by a 10-minute uphill walk.
