Cheorwon DMZ Civilian Control Zone Iron Triangle

The Iron Triangle battleground from the Korean War that is now partly accessible via guided civilian tours. Rusting equipment, cratered landscape, and ghostly abandoned villages inside the civilian control line create an experience unlike any conventional tourism. The world largest colony of red-crowned cranes winters in the protected rice paddies near the no-man zone border.
